How Gresham’s Climate Affects Your Fireplace

Gresham experiences approximately 190 days per year when homeowners need supplemental heating. Our location east of Portland means we get slightly more temperature variation than the metro core. Winter temperatures regularly dip into the 30s, and occasional ice storms make reliable backup heat crucial.

The Pacific Northwest’s high humidity creates unique challenges. Moisture can infiltrate gas lines and corrode connections if systems aren’t properly maintained. Our comprehensive inspections specifically address these regional concerns, ensuring your fireplace operates safely throughout the heating season.

Service was fine but nothing special. The guy did clean the fireplace and it works fine now. He seemed kinda rushed and didn't really explain what he was doing. I had to ask specifically about whether he checked the pilot light and gas connections. He said he did but it was like pulling teeth to get information. The actual cleaning job was decent - the glass is clean and everything looks better. Price was okay, not great but not terrible. I probably would have given 4 stars if the communication was better. It felt very transactional if that makes sense. Not bad service, just not particularly memorable or outstanding. It got the job done which is what matters I guess.
